BoB is an online TV and radio recording service that allows you to choose and record broadcast programmes from over 75 free-to-air channels including BBC1; BBC2; ITV; Channel 4; Channel 5; BBC4; and Film 4. There is a permanent archive of content from nine channels: BBC1 London; BBC2; BBC4; ITV London; Channel 4; More4; Channel 5; BBC Radio 4; BBC Radio 4 Extra. Programmes that are recorded from other channels are also added to the archive.

BoB includes access to the entire digitised BBC broadcast archive of millions of TV and radio programmes. It includes interviews and features with many major cultural, artistic, political, and sporting figure of the last 100 years, as well as iconic dramas and landmark comedy programmes. There are different access processes for the content depending on the date of broadcast. Order programmes back to July 2007 using BoB. For programmes prior to July 2007, use TRILT (Television and Radio Index for Teaching and Learning).

Curated playlists are a rich resource of collected clips and individual Television or radio broadcasts created by academics around specific subject areas or modules, including: Biology in broadcast media; Games; Law, race and decolonization; Marketing communications; The politics of popular music; Shakespeare: performance and politics; Supply chain management.
