TRILT is a service from Learning on Screen, which also provides BoB (Box of Broadcasts that provides listings for more than 560 TV and radio channels with data from 1923 onwards. You can set up auto-alert emails for forthcoming programmes up to 10 days in advance of broadcast. More than a million records are added to TRILT every year.

Missed recording a television programme you wanted to use in learning and teaching? TRILT’s Off-Air Back-Up Recording Service can help. Copies of programmes can be requested using TRILT. Search for the programme you require. If it can be requested, the BUFVC logo will be displayed next to the title. Click on the title, then complete the ‘Request this programme’ form.

Terms and conditions: Full access to TRILT, with no restrictions on search dates, is only available to staff, students and researchers at member universities and colleges across the UK. It is not available to walk-in users, partners, or members of the University who are based overseas.

Coverage

The service records London broadcasts of BBC1, BBC2, BBC4 (since March 2002), ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5, More 4 (since June 2010), BBC Radio 4 (since September 2008) and BBC Radio 4 Extra (since September 2009). We recorded BBC Three from February 2003 until February 2016, when it ceased on-air broadcasting. Regional programming, unless also shown in London, is not available. NOTE: Please be advised that all programmes broadcast prior to 1st April 2008 are classified as archive recordings, and as such can take up to five weeks for completion from the date the order was placed.
